Tickets and Hours Woodland Park Zoo Seattle WA
Woodland Park Zoo recognizes that these are the lands of the Tribal signatories of the Treaty of Point Elliott. We acknowledge their stewardship of this place continues to this day and that it is our responsibility to join them to restore the relationship with the living world around us. We are not able to coordinate job shadow requests due to the volume of requests, scheduling difficulties and safety issues. Occasionally, keepers are able to complete email interviews about their vocations. We are a non-profit zoo dedicated to saving animals and habitat.

Woodland Park Zoo composts approximately 500 tons of this animal waste each year—saving around $125,000 per year in disposal costs. Plan Your Visit
The Flamingo parking lot is closed to guests in order to prepare for the new Forest Trailhead exhibit construction. Woodland Park Zoo saves wildlife and inspires everyone to make conservation a priority in their lives. The process begins when fresh manure and bedding materials are collected from animal habitats. Next, the materials are taken to the Zoo Doo yard for composting. We use an Aerated Static Pile System to do the composting.
Discover the amazing animals and experiences that await you when you explore our award-winning exhibits!
